Homemade Bug Juice

Spring welcomes bugs of all shapes and sizes. While I don’t particularly like real ones, I do enjoy bug related crafts and recipes because they are kid-friendly! This Homemade Bug Juice is the perfect way to welcome the bugs in your home without actually having the real ones around!

HOMEMADE BUG JUICE

When you think Bug Juice you probably think of those little drinks you can find in the grocery store for under $1. They come in a variety of colors and flavors and are LOADED with sugar and other ingredients that are not so good for your little ones.

My Bug Juice recipe is so much healthier because you can control just how much sugar (if any) makes it into the drink. Plus it only requires 3 simple ingredients that you most likely already have in your home!

In addition to making this for your kids, you can make it with your kids and have them sell it during the Summer to make a little extra cash. Think of how fun and buggy looking you can make the drink stand look!

I sure hope you will give it a try!

How to Make Homemade Bug Juice:

  1. Place your Kool-Aid Mix into a bottle of water or large pitcher. (Use less mix if adding to a water bottle versus a pitcher of water)
  2. Add sugar to taste. You can definitely skip this step but it does help it taste a little better.
  3. Stir well and add in some gummy worms. You can even garnish the cup with a gummy worm.
  4. Serve and Enjoy!
Note: Your gummy worms will soak up the water the longer they are in it so keep this in mind when serving the drink.
