There is something about the chill in the air that brings out all things creepy and even…the UNDEAD. Before we know it, Halloween will be upon us and of course, The Walking Dead! So in celebration of zombies everywhere I wanted to make an appetizing zombie platter: Zombie Eye Deviled Eggs. Promise, they taste better then they look!
What You Will Need to Make Zombie Eye Deviled Eggs:
- 6 eggs
- 4 drops red food coloring
- 1/2 avocado
- 2 green olives
- 2 sandwich bags
How to Make Zombie Eye Deviled Eggs:
First start by boiling the eggs for 10 minutes on medium heat until eggs are hard boiled. Let cool (you can also run them over cold water to cool them down).
Next, gently crack egg shells all over egg but don’t remove the shell.
In a plastic sandwich bag add in food coloring and eggs. Move eggs around until fully coated.
Now, carefully remove the shells and wash off eggs.
Next, slice the eggs in half (vertically) and remove centers. Mix the yolk with half of avocado in a bowl. It should end up being a creamy consistency.
Place the mixture into a sandwich bag and cut off end tip of bag for piping. Fill the egg centers with the avocado egg mixture.
All that is left to do is to slice the green olives and place on top for eggs. For an extra scare, add a drop of red food coloring on the top to make it look like they are bleeding.
Serve up to your guests and enjoy!
