Frequently Asked Questions

Where did you get your pretty cocktail glasses?
So many people have asked me where I got my gorgeous cocktail glasses. I love them too. You can find the old fashion cocktail glasses I used here.

What gives a Blue Hawaiian drink it’s color?
The gorgeous blue hue in a Blue Hawaiian drink comes from the blue curacao mixed with the pineapple juice.

What is the difference between a Blue Hawaiian and a Blue Hawaii cocktail?
They are essentially the same with a few subtle differences. A Blue Hawaii uses sweet and sour mix and a Blue Hawaiian uses cream of coconut (creme de coconut).

Things to Note:

  1. Drift away to the white sands of Hawaii without having to leave your house to get there. This cocktail is so easy to make and will impress all of your guests.
  2. Canned coconut cream can be found with the other mixers in the alcohol aisle or in the international foods aisle. I highly recommend stirring the coconut cream before adding it to the pitcher or you can quickly blend it using a blender and then add it to the pitcher.
  3. Speaking of using a blender. You can quickly blend these ingredients together for a delightful frozen cocktail instead of pouring them over ice. Don’t forget to add the ice to the blender though, this is what will make it creamy and smooth.
  4. Don’t want to use coconut cream? No problem, use coconut-flavored rum instead such as Malibu. You’ll get the same coconut flavor without having to whisk in the coconut cream.
