Kids love to get messy so let them! These Homemade Bath Paints are easy to make and provide messy fun in the shower. No clean up necessary!
My son loves crafts and especially loves to paint. Having light colored carpets in our house means painting can become a disaster. That is why I love bath paints because my son can paint like he wants to but there is no worry for staining or ruining anything.
Store bought bath paints are expensive and you get very little for your money. This DIY recipe for homemade Bath Paints is so simple to make and is very inexpensive. In fact, I found most of my supplies at my local Dollar Tree and paid less than $4 in all for supplies.
What you will need:
- Baby shampoo or body wash
- Corn Starch
- Food Coloring
- Cups or bowls to mix in
Directions:
- Mix 1/4 Cup of Baby Shampoo or Body Wash with 1 Tablespoon Corn Starch into each cup or bowl
- Add your choice of food coloring into the mixture and blend until all the food coloring is incorporated.
- That’s it! You now have homemade bath paints!
I chose to mix a big batch of the shampoo and corn starch then separated them into cups and then added the color. You can also place the paints in baby food jars so you can save and reuse the paint!
