DIY Batman Party Invitations!

I love creating my own birthday party decorations and invitations. For my son’s 4th birthday he wanted it to be Batman themed so I came up with these DIY Batman Party Invitations that were a huge hit!

DIY Batman Party InvitationsWith Batman there are several different versions of him but we went with the more traditional (black and yellow) batman. Therefore, that is why I decided to make the traditional bat symbol as the invitations. If you want to stick with that traditional look as well, check out the tutorial below.

DIY Batman Party Invitations

What you’ll need:

  • Yellow cardstock paper
  • Black cardstock paper
  • White cardstock paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue Stick
  • Batman Symbol Template
  • Black 5.25″ x 7.25″ envelopes
  • Batman stickers (to seal the envelopes)

To make things easy I created a Batman Symbol Template for you. This is the exact size you are going to want to print to ensure they will fit into the envelopes that I listed above. It is in a word document and will download to your computer as soon as you click the link above.

Instructions:

  1. Print the Batman Symbol Template using the link above and cut it out.
  2. Trace around the outside of the black line onto a hard piece of cardstock paper. This will serve as the tracing pattern for the yellow oval part of your invitation.
  3. Once you have a template made for the yellow oval, cut the black Batman bat symbol out of the template and trace that onto a black piece of cardstock paper. This will serve as the template for the middle black part.
  4. Once you have the template for the yellow oval and black bat symbol you can trace each of these to make as many as you need (1 each for every invitation you will make).
  5. Once all parts are cut out you can start gluing the black bat symbol to the yellow oval.
  6. Print or write your invitation details onto the white cardstock. I can send you a Blank Batman Template (publisher version) or I create a Batman Invitation for you using Batman font for a small fee. Email me for either of these.
  7. Cut the white cardstock containing the invitation details out and glue that onto the back side of the yellow cardstock.
  8. Simply place the card inside the black envelope and seal it with a Batman sticker. You are all done!

The wording I used for my son’s invitations was:

“Holy Birthday Batman Kayzen (my son’s name) is turning 4! Join us to help us save Gotham City! Food, Fun, and Drinks will be provided.”

These were so fun to make and our guests are excited to see the awesome Batman party we are hosting at our Batcave this year 🙂

Be sure to contact me if you have any questions and I hope you all enjoy this DIY project!
