DIY Diaper Bouquet

It seems like everyone I know is having a baby this year so of course, I have to be thinking ahead of the perfect gift to give to them. If you know me at all, I don’t like to stick to the traditional ideas and I don’t want to shop from a baby registry. I want unique and fun. So today I am sharing a fun DIY Diaper Bouquet that makes the perfect gift for any new parent and baby! Plus, it’s totally cute!

What You Will Need to Make a DIY Diaper Bouquet:

  • Huggies Snug & Dry Diapers (I used about 15)
  • Tulle (in your choice of color)
  • Tissue Paper (in your choice of colors. I used 2 different blues and orange)
  • Bamboo Skewers
  • Paper Straws
  • Large Glass Vase
  • Styrofoam Ball (that will fit inside the vase)

How to Make a DIY Diaper Bouquet:

Start by wrapping your styrofoam ball with a piece of tissue paper. During this step you can also stuff the bottom of your vase with tissue paper to fill in the empty space. You can also add small items like pacifiers and small bottles of baby lotion.

Next, start rolling your diapers by rolling from the bottom inward as shown below.DIY Diaper Bouquet step1

Secure the roll by adding a rubber band around the bottom. You want to get as close to the bottom as possible so you won’t see the rubber band in the final result.DIY Diaper Bouquet step3

Next, take a bamboo stick and stick it inside of a paper straw. This is optional but I think it gives a better appearance overall since you won’t see the bamboo stick. DIY Diaper Bouquet step4

Now stick the rounded end of the bamboo stick inside of the bottom of the diaper (the end with the rubber band). DIY Diaper Bouquet step5

Now it’s just about sticking the sticks into the styrofoam ball until it is full. You will then go in and fill in the empty space with pieces of tissue paper and tulle until it looks like this:DIY Diaper Bouquet #diaper #diaperbouquet #babyshower #babyshowergifts #diapercake

Isn’t it so cute? It’s truly easy to make and so inexpensive. Plus, it will be totally unique!

What it’s like being a Huggies Mom…

If you have been a reader of my site for some time now, you know that I am pretty biased when it comes to diapers. I often refer to myself as a “Huggies Mom” simply because I have always loved their diapers. Now, I’ll be honest, I’ve tried many brands of diapers over the years thinking I could save some money or try something new and I always went back to Huggies. Why you ask? Because you cannot beat the quality and protection they offer.

After having 2 boys I know what it’s like to go through wet and messy diapers and Huggies has never let me down. My youngest son is currently 18 months old and he wears the Huggies Snug and Dry Diapers in size 4. We have been working on weaning him off the bottle before bed but it’s nice to know that in the meantime, he has a diaper that he won’t soak through in the night.

Huggies Snug & Dry Diapers absorb quickly to help stop leaks and offer up to 12 hours of long-lasting leakage protection to help keep baby dry throughout all his daily adventures. Trust me, they are perfect for babies like my son who like to run, jump, play and destroy everything in their path! 😉

If you are debating on what diaper to try with your baby, give the Huggies Snug & Dry Diapers a try. You can find them at your local Kroger store (for me that is Smith’s) and during the “Baby Me” event (3/20/16 – 4/2/16), you can spend $40 on participating baby items so you can receive a $10 off coupon good towards anything at Kroger (while supplies last). It’s just an awesome way to save on some great diapers.

So I hope you enjoy this fun DIY baby shower gift idea and I cannot wait to see what I come up with next to share with all of you!

Love this idea! I've actually seen clear rubber bands before, but I don't remember how much they cost. Thank you for a great tutorial! I'll be sure to keep this one as an idea for the next baby shower I need to attend!
