DIY Star Wars Night Light

It’s getting darker much earlier now that we are into fall. That means if you have little ones at home, those night lights come on sooner too. My little boys are all about cool night lights that illuminate their room in style. So today I am super excited to share with you this DIY Star Wars Night Light inspired by theRogue One: A Star Wars Story© TM Lucasfilm LTD and Kleenex.

What You Will Need to Make a DIY Star Wars Night Light:

• Kleenex box with Rogue One: A Star Wars Story designs
• Thumbtack
• Electric Tea Light
• Dark room or space

How to Make a DIY Star Wars Night Light:

First start by removing the tab on your Kleenex box. Then you want to remove all of the tissues from inside the box and cut out the plastic film at the top (you can do this by using scissors). Next, take your thumbtack and poke holes around the outside of the Kleenex box. We decided to follow the lining of the characters but you can make it your own and do whatever you like. Once your design is done, place the box into a dark room. Turn on your electric tea light (do not use one with a flame) and place it inside the box. Watch the light flicker and a really cool night light will be born! 

I am so excited to see the new Rogue One: A Star Wars Story where ordinary people are tasked with doing extraordinary things. Likewise, we can all do the extraordinary by showing those around us that we care with gestures big and small, like sharing a Kleenex tissue.Especially during this time of year where colds and the flu seem to be a reoccurring activity.

It is an easy way to show you care.And what a fun way to do that by creating this night light by poking holes in a Kleenex box featuring Rogue One: A Star Wars Story designs and inserting a faux-tea light (tissues removed, of course!).
