Are you a fan of the Dollar Tree? Well, you’re not alone. Many people love to shop at this discount retailer for its amazing bargains and unbeatable prices. But with so many items on offer, it can be hard to know what to buy and what to pass up.
That’s why I’ve put together a list of Dollar Tree items you should always buy if you see them. From household essentials to crafting supplies and everything in between, I’ve got you covered.
Dollar Tree is one of my favorite stores to shop at simply because it’s so inexpensive. How can you possibly go wrong with $1.25? You simply cannot.
And my bottom line is – while there are certainly items I will splurge on, if I can save money on something, I will.
Dollar Tree is one of those places I often find items I’d normally buy anyways for a lot less than anywhere else thus helping me save money, stay within budget and allows me to build a stockpile for my family without breaking the bank.
Pro tip: You can actually shop Dollar Tree Online.
With that being said, I’ve taken the time to browse the isles of my local Dollar Tree to help tell you which items are entirely worth the cost and if you ever see them, don’t pass them up! I’ve already done a Dollar Tree Grocery Items post but this one is more of a broad range of items.
The reason I chose these items is because they are quality items and at $1.25 each, they are nearly 50% off or more from normal retail price at other retailers.
So, grab your car keys and get ready to make a mad dash to your local Dollar Tree to snag some of these items…
Dollar Tree Items You Should Always Buy if You See Them
You may have heard me talk about it before but in case you haven’t, did you know that Dollar Tree sells name brand bread?
In fact, just today, I was there when the bread delivery guy was there stocking the shelves. Fresh bread, donuts, bagels, buns, and even packaged cookies.
Pro tip: Always check the expiration date but I typically find these items expire within 3 days to a week and I often times freeze them if I can’t use them right away.
My favorite bread is the Naked Minimalist Wheat bread. It’s the bread my family enjoys the most and at any other store, 1 loaf costs me $4-$6 so when I find it at Dollar Tree, I stock up and freeze additional loaves.
Vitamins and Supplements
I’ll be honest – not all vitamins and supplements at Dollar Tree are worth the cost in my opinion.
However, if you take the time to look really well, you can find some incredible deals.
For example, just today I found these Goli gummy vitamins. I found both the Goli Greens and the Goli Apple Cider Vinegar gummies.
Now, if you don’t know, these are very popular, name brand vitamins and these exact bottles retail for $8.99-$19.00 each at Target, Walmart, etc. So, this is an amazing deal!
Another great find that my mom actually found was these Centrum Men 50+ Multigummies.
These retail for $10.99-$14.99 online!
I also love grabbing these To-Go Packs of medications like Tylenol, Advil and any other name brand items.
These to-go packs are great to pack in diaper bags, purses, put in your car and even pack on a carry on bag on the airplane.
These are also cheaper than you’d find in the travel size section at your local Target or Walmart.
Now, don’t come at me for this one but in my opinion, these dollar store pregnancy tests work just as well as the name, brand expensive tests.
In fact, I found out I was pregnant with all 3 of my kids using these tests and then later confirmed with more expensive tests.
If you are someone who is trying to have a baby and test quite often, stocking up on these dollar store tests can be a lifesaver.
Food Storage Containers
I typically wait until containers like these go on sale around Black Friday.
However, if you can find these Rubbermaid Take Alongs, they are a great deal for 2 for $1.25 and I’ve found several different colors and sizes with this brand.
These are perfect for storing leftovers, controlling portions and even for taking lunch to work. They are BPA free and are dishwasher and microwave safe.
If you’re a parent, you know that you will need poster boards far too often and many times, late at night when stores are closed.
With that being said, Dollar Tree has a great variety of poster boards.
The white poster boards are 2 for $1 and the colored are $1. They also have the thick foam boards and even the cardboard project display boards used for science fair projects.
These are all also great for yard sales, fundraisers, etc. I like to grab some and keep them in my garage until I need them.
