Making delicious and tender meat isn’t always easy. But I have a simple solution to marinate your meat quickly and easily. Plus you only need 2 ingredients (and meat of course!) It’s an Easy Beer Marinade!
So you are probably wondering why I chose to use Beer as the choice for my marinade. Well it’s simple, Beer contains enzymes that can help break down the fibers in the meat making it more tender. This is the perfect choice for meats such as Pork and Steak. As you can see above, I was making Pork Chops and I wanted the meat to be more tender.
This is also a great trick to making perfectly grilled meats for Barbecues and Summer gatherings. And you don’t have to let them know about your secret if you don’t want to 😉
Not sure what type of beer to use? Well you can use any really. However, darker beers give a richer flavor and lighter beers do not. If you want less beer flavor try to not marinate meat as long or simply add more spices once you’ve removed the meat from the beer.
Ingredients:
- Beer (I used a can of Modelo beer)
- Meat Seasoning (My Favorite is McCormick Montreal Steak Grill Mates)
- Your Choice of Meat (Perfect for more tough meats such as Pork and Steak)
Directions:
- Defrost your meat (if frozen)
- Place your meat in a large bowl and pour beer into the bowl. Be sure the beer covers the meat entirely.
- Add seasonings to the bowl mixing in with the beer gently.
- Cover bowl with lid and place in fridge.
- Allow at least 1 hour for beer to marinate meat prior to cooking.
