Nuka Cola Helps Refresh You In A Wasteland

If you’re a fan of the Fallout video games or the new Amazon series, you know that Nuka Cola is a staple in a wasteland where beverages and even food is scarce.

My son is a huge Fallout fan and decided he wanted the theme for his 14th birthday but the problem was, we couldn’t really find any Fallout party decor or other items so my husband and I got creative and made our own.

While you can purchase Nuka Cola Quantum from Jones Soda on Amazon, you’ll end up paying around $35 for two bottles and that’s just too much for my budget.

So, we decided to make our own homemade Nuka Cola Quantum bottles for our son’s party and I think they turned out awesome! The best part is, they only ended up costing about $2 per bottle versus the $17.50 currently selling online so I consider that a win!

  • It is perfect for Fallout Fans – If you are looking for some Fallout Party ideas or even a gift for a Fallout fan, this would be perfect!
  • It is inexpensive – Each bottle ended up costing us around $2 which is about 1/11 of the price of the ones already made and being sold.

What You Need to Make Nuka Cola Quantum Bottles

  • Glass Jones Berry Lemonade Soda – I found these at my local Dollar Tree for $1.25 each and ended up buying an entire case (total cost $15). A 12-pack on Amazon is selling currently for $44!
  • Nuka Cola Quantum Label – I purchased these labels from Etsy and they worked perfectly. Pro tip: Send them to be printed at FedEx Kinkos and print them on the Glossy 32 lb. paper. Trust me!
  • Modge Podge Matte– I like this because it dries clear and held the labels well to the glass bottles.
  • Paint Brush – This will paint the glue onto the labels
  • Scissors
  • Goo Gone This is optional but with these bottles, we did remove the labels and it left a sticky residue on them so we used Goo Gone to remove it and it worked great.

Helpful Tips

  • You can make these in advance and allow them to dry for several days before serving or gifting.
  • Keep the labels away from water (do not place them into a cooler).
  • I recommend storing these in the fridge to cool then if you want, place ice into a shallow baking pan or aluminum foil pan and stick the drinks into the ice upright (keeping the label away from the ice or water to prevent warping).
  • If using the Goo Gone, remove the label then use a wash cloth with a bit of goo gone on it and rub the sticky adhesive off the bottle. You can then wash the bottle off with warm water and soap and allow to air dry before adding the labels.
