Fans of the Fallout video games series knows that purified water is a scarce resource but one that is needed if you plant to survive the wasteland.
This easy DIY will help you make authentic looking bottles of purified water from the game.
These are fun and easy props you can make your next Fallout party that double as drinks for your party guests.

What You Need to Make Purified Water
- Bottled Water – We used the plastic bottled water from Costco
- Masking Tape – I found some at Dollar Tree
- Red Sharpie Marker– I found this at Dollar Tree as well
Helpful Tips
- You can make these in advance and place them in the fridge. We did put ours into a cooler with a shallow amount of ice and they did fine (and the labels were not ruined).
- Removing the labels from water bottles is quite easy and they don’t leave a sticky residue on the bottles.
- Remember to recycle your water bottles when done!
DIY Fallout Purified Water
How to make your own Fallout Purified Water for your next Fallout party
Materials
- 12 Water Bottles
- Masking Tape
- 1 Red Sharpie Marker
Instructions
- Start by removing the labels off your bottled water and throw them away.
- Once labels are removed, take pieces of your masking tape and wrap them around the middle of the bottle (where the labels were previously). We ended up using 2 pieces to make the area thicker but you can also use thicker masking tape.
- Take your red Sharpie and write “H2O” on the front. We wrote ours slanted a bit to try to match the style of the logo from the game.
- Serve them up or display them as props at your Fallout party!
