Since we totally love The Grinch, I thought it would be fun to continue making green treats and that’s when I came up with these Grinch Marshmallow Stirrers (which by the way, we are the original source for these).

If you can stick candy canes into marshmallows and dip them into chocolate, you can make these!!

How to Make Grinch Marshmallow Stirrers for Hot Cocoa

Start by unwrapping your candy canes (carefully so you don’t break them) and stick one into the middle of a jumbo marshmallow.

Line a cookie sheet with wax paper and set aside.

Now, melt your green chocolate in the microwave using a microwave safe bowl. Heat for 30 seconds, stir and then repeat until all the chocolate is melted (about 1 minute).

Carefully spoon the chocolate over the marshmallow until all of the marshmallow is covered in green chocolate. You can also sort of shake or tape the excess chocolate off.

Set the chocolate dipped marshmallow stirrer onto the wax paper and allow to set for a minutes.

Once the chocolate has started to harden, stick a red sprinkle heart onto it and allow it to fully harden (don’t do this too soon or the sprinkle will fall off).

Once the chocolate has hardened, you can use these right away by stirring these into a hot cup of milk or wrapping them for holiday gifting!

Things To Note:

  • It is okay if your marshmallows are not perfect, I like how these turned out sort of tilted. They remind me of the houses in Whoville.
  • You can use any candy cane or green colored chocolate you want.
  • Store them in away from heat to prevent melting.
