Grinch Treats

By now you should know my obsession with The Grinch. If I were to throw a Grinch Party anytime soon, it’d pretty much be the best party you’ve ever seen. Just saying…

In all seriousness, I do love making fun Grinch treats. Everything from Grinch Pancakes to Grinch Hot Cocoa Bombs to Grinch Pretzel Bites and you know I am not done yet.

If you are looking for an easy holiday treat that takes minimal ingredients, time and money, this is it! You can even make this and put into some fun holiday tins to give as an inexpensive gift to neighbors, teachers and co-workers.

What You Need To Make Grinch Peanut Clusters

Items Needed:

  • Baking Sheet
  • Parchment Paper
  • Small Microwave-Safe Bowl
  • Large Mixing Bowl
  • Spoon

How to Make Grinch Peanut Clusters

Line your baking sheet with parchment paper.

Place your peanuts in a large bowl and set aside.

Place your candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl and cook on high for 30 seconds, stir and repeat until smooth and creamy when mixed (about 1.5 minutes).

Add the coconut oil to the melted chocolate and stir until fully combined.

Pour the chocolate over the peanuts and stir until the peanuts are thoroughly coated.

Spoon about 2 Tablespoons worth of the peanut mixture into piles on your prepared pan.

While the chocolate is still sticky and melted, add a heart sprinkle on top.

Chill for 10 minutes or until hardened. Enjoy!

Helpful Tips:

  • You don’t want your chocolate thick and clumpy. If your chocolate seems extra thick, add a bit more coconut oil to it.
  • You can adjust to the size of clusters you prefer. It won’t hurt the recipe in the slightest to change the size.
  • Try to make the top middle of each cluster a bit more even so the heart will sit better on top.
  • If you want to make these even cuter, use some extra melted chocolate and drizzle it over the top of each cluster before adding the heart.
  • I do not suggest using unsalted peanuts unless you want a tasteless piece of candy. The salt adds a big part to the flavor of the treat.
  • I just used regular cocktail peanuts, nothing fancy or special.
