Things To Note:

  • If you use a larger pan, the treats will turn out thinner and not as big, but will serve more. You can always double or even triple this recipe and use a bigger pan to get more servings.
  • I usually use 1 cup rice krispies to 1 cup marshmallows.
  • If your mixture is too wet, add more rice krispies ½ cup at a time.
  • You can use any black dye you prefer. It doesn’t need to be anything fancy.
  • Do not store these in the fridge as condensation will ruin them.
  • If your butter is straight from the fridge and hasn’t warmed up yet, cook it in the microwave by itself first for a few seconds before adding the marshmallows.
