How to Make Halloween Rice Krispie Treats
Ingredients:
- 4 Cups Rice Krispie Treats
- 4 Cups Mini Marshmallows
- 3 Tablespoons Butter
- ½ Teaspoon Black Gel Food Dye
- Halloween Sprinkles

Directions:
Line a 9-inch square pan with parchment paper and spray the paper with nonstick cooking spray.
Place the butter in a large bowl along with the marshmallows and microwave on high for 1.5 minutes or until the marshmallows have expanded quite a bit.

Remove and stir until smooth.
Add the dye and stir until no streaks appear.

Add the rice krispies and stir until fully coated in the black mixture.

Pour into the prepared pan, spread the mixture so that it’s even, and lightly press it down to pack it in.

Top with as many sprinkles as you like.

Leave to rest in a cool, dry area for 2 hours or until set.
Slice and enjoy!

Things To Note:
- If you use a larger pan, the treats will turn out thinner and not as big, but will serve more. You can always double or even triple this recipe and use a bigger pan to get more servings.
- I usually use 1 cup rice krispies to 1 cup marshmallows.
- If your mixture is too wet, add more rice krispies ½ cup at a time.
- You can use any black dye you prefer. It doesn’t need to be anything fancy.
- Do not store these in the fridge as condensation will ruin them.
- If your butter is straight from the fridge and hasn’t warmed up yet, cook it in the microwave by itself first for a few seconds before adding the marshmallows.
