Hocus Pocus Slime

Oil Boil, Toil Trouble… (or at least I think it goes something like that). This Hocus Pocus Slime is about to be the best thing you brew up all Halloween!

hocus pocus slime

Okay, in all seriousness, this slime is so cool and turned out WAY better than I expected.

Inspired by the Disney movie Hocus Pocus, my husband and I decided to make a slime brewed up by evil witches.

The spell goes something like this…

Bring to a full rolling bubble. Add two drops oil of boil
Mix blood of owl
with the herb that’s red
Turn three times,
pluck a hair from my head
Add a dash of pox and a dead man’s toe
Green newt saliva
Add a bit of thine own tongue

And that’s exactly how we made it. Well, sort of…

We of course used ingredients that were similar to the items used in the movie without actually being entirely disgusting and morbid.

Here is What You’ll Need to Make Hocus Pocus Slime:

How to Make Hocus Pocus Slime:

First, start by mixing your glue, water, essential oil (if using) and food coloring into a bowl. Mix well.

Next, slowly add your liquid starch. Keep mixing until you start to see the mixture turn into slime.

Now, add your mix-ins and this is where you’ll need to use your hands. Knead in the mix-in’s until well incorporated into the slime. You can use gloves at this step if you’d rather not get your hands sticky.

Note: Over time the slime will become less sticky. We found that by leaving it to sit in a baggie overnight, the slime was a perfect consistency the next morning.
