Holiday Candy Cookie Pop

One of the best things of the holidays is all the delectable treats. I look cookies, chocolate, and candy so I decided to combine all of those together and make these Holiday Candy Cookie Pops!

HOLIDAY CANDY COOKIE POP

What You Will Need to Make a Holiday Candy Cookie Pop:

  • Double Stuffed Oreo Chocolate Cookies
  • Candy Sticks
  • Ghirardelli White Chocolate Wafers
  • Royal Icing
  • #2 Piping Tip
  • Piping Bag

Royal Icing Ingredients:

  • 2 Egg Whites
  • 1 Cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Cream of Tartar
  • Red Gel Food Coloring
  • Green Gel Food Coloring

How to Make a Holiday Candy Cookie Pop:

Cookie Pop Directions:

  1. Line a cookie sheet with wax paper.
  2. Separate the Oreo cookies, keeping the filling in place. Keep the separated Oreo cookie intact.
  3. Put the candy stick in the center of the filling one half of the way up the cookie.
  4. Melt the white chocolate in a double boiler, stirring occasionally. You can also use the microwave by melting for 30 seconds and stirring. Continue until melted.
  5. Dip the half of the Oreo cookie piece without the filling into the melted white chocolate to add as “glue”.
  6. Place the dipped  Oreo cookie half on top of the other half of the cookie.( the cookie half with the filling).
  7. Place the dipped cookies on the lined cookie sheet and into the freezer for 10 minutes.
  8. Remove the Oreo cookie from the freezer and dip it into the melted white chocolate again.
  9. Place each dipped cookie onto the lined cookie sheet and put in the refrigerator for 30 minutes or until hardened.

Royal Icing Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl mixing on medium speed for 4 minutes. (except your food coloring) Note: If icing is  not stiff enough add 1/4 cup powdered sugar.
  2. Spoon the icing into a bowl.
  3. Take out 2 TBSP of icing and leave it white.
  4. Divide the remaining icing into two bowls.
  5. The first bowl and add red  gel food coloring, stir to mix.
  6. The second bowl add green gel food coloring, stirring to mix.
  7. Spoon the red icing into a piping bag with a #2 tip.
  8. Spoon the green icing also into another piping bag with a #2 tip.
  9. Begin on the outside edge of each of the cookies with the icing and work toward the center in a circle motion with one color then alternate on another cookie with the green icing.
  10. Allow the iced cookies to dry.
  11. Serve and enjoy.

Instructions
