Coupons are literally everywhere especially in this day and age with our technology! One of the biggest ways to obtain coupons for FREE is by printing them online!
Online you say? Now I know some of you may be used to just clipping coupons out of the newspaper (like the old-fashion way) and that’s great but most of the best and highest value coupons come from online. These coupons are available by email, through Coupon widgets, through company Facebook pages and through online retailers.
So how exactly do you get them? Well you print them right from your computer! So here are some frequently asked questions and answers to help you get started!
Where Do I find Internet Coupons?
You can find printable coupons on Facebook, by email, through online retailers, and through Coupon Widgets. My favorite coupon widgets are:
When Do I Print Coupons? Should I Wait?
No do not wait to print coupons. Always Print Coupons As Soon As You Can! This is the biggest tip I can give you because far too often we say a very High Value or Rare coupon and it will reach it’s print limit (exceed it’s number of available prints) and be gone before a blink of an eye. So when you see me post a “Rare” or “High Value” coupon and you know your family likes or will use that product- Print it, don’t hesitate! Also keep in mind that just because we see a certain coupon this month, doesn’t mean we will see it again next month or even in the next few months. Coupons get added and removed all the time so we never really know what coupon we are going to see.
How Many of The Same Coupon Can I Print?
You can print a maximum of (2) of the same coupons per computer. For example: If you have (4) computers in your home and only 1 printer you can print a total of (8) coupons. (Prints are based on computers and not printers) You can do this quickly by hitting your browsers “back” button a few times and your coupon will be sent to your printer again.
When I tried printing my first coupon it asked me to download software, is it safe?
As with anything on the internet you have a risk of getting a virus but if you are downloading software from one of the sites I listed above then I can say it’s safe. Some places you print coupons online will require you to download a printing software before you can print your first coupon. This is required because if you don’t have the software your coupons will not print the barcodes correctly causing you trouble at the register. If you are skeptical on downloading a certain software from a site, email me and I can tell you if it’s safe or not.
Why Do I Have to ‘Like’ This Facebook Page to print the coupon they are offering?
Companies love to offer exclusive offers to their fans, it’s their way of saying thank you for being a fan. Some companies will post coupons online for their fans only so if your not a fan you should become one. These coupons are usually rare and cannot be found anywhere else on the web. Most of the time companies will require that you ‘Like’ their page before you can print the coupon, if it asks you to do it- do it! It’s totally worth it. Once you print the coupon you can decide whether you want to still be a fan or not. You can unlike the page and not seem them in your news feed or keep the page ‘Liked’ so you’ll be ready for the next promotion they do. It’s entirely up to you.
Who accepts internet printed coupons?
Most stores will accept internet printed coupons provided they are “manufacturer coupons”. The internet printed coupon will tell you at the top if it’s a store coupon or manufacturer coupon. Be sure to also read the fine print on the coupon (like you would with coupons from newspaper inserts). And always make sure you know the stores coupon policy before trying to redeem any coupon.
I tried printing a coupon, and it said “print limit” reached what does that mean?
If you have printed your maximum amount of 2 prints from your computer then that is why you are getting that error. You will have to wait until that coupon “Resets” the next month (if it does) to print it again.
If you get this error but you never printed this coupon it may be that the coupon is gone and has reached it’s maximum allowed prints overall. Or you can try changing a few letters in the URL of the page you are trying to print from. Here is an example of an error:
see the vg bolded in red above? Replace it with the following letters based on the internet browser you are using:
Firefox: wg or vg
Internet Explorer: vi or wi
