What happens if your Elf is touched?
According to, the Elf on The Shelf book…
“There’s only one rule that you have to follow so I will come back and be here tomorrow: Please do not touch me. My magic might go, and Santa won’t hear all I’ve seen or I know.”

That means that if your Scout Elf is touched, even accidentally, your elf’s magic disappears. But is it gone forever? Well, no but you will have to restore your elf’s magic and until then, your elf is sick.
Luckily, there are several ways you can restore your elf’s magic once it has been touched and some of my favorite ideas for restoring your elf’s magic are below. Enjoy!
Ideas for Restoring Your Elf’s Magic
There are 3 main ways to restore your elf’s magic. The first, is to write Santa a letter explaining you are sorry for touching your elf and asking him to restore your elf’s magic.

The second way to restore your elf’s magic is by sprinkling a little magic dust near them the night before you want their magic restored.
In this case, the magic dust is cinnamon! Cinnamon works like vitamins for your elf, helping them regain their strength, get back to the North Pole to see a doctor, and return with their magic intact in no time!

The third way to restore your elf’s magic is by singing Christmas carols. After all, just like in the movie Elf “The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing aloud for all to hear”.
