I love tips that make living easier. If you have a baby at home and plan on making your own baby food, this tip will certainly come in handy. Just purchase bananas when they are green then use this trick to ripen them overnight and the next day you will have perfectly ripened bananas you can use to make baby food!

How to Ripen Bananas Overnight

Here is what you’ll need:

  • green bananas
  • 2 ripe apples
  • a brown paper sack

Directions:

  1. Place the green bananas into the brown paper bag with the top loosely closed.
  2. Place 1 ripe apple on each side of the paper bag and allow this to sit overnight.
  3. The next morning you will have ripe Bananas that are good enough to eat!

Why does this work?

Well when a fruit ripens it releases Ethylene Gas so by having the ripe apples next to the bananas it will release the gas which will get trapped inside the brown bag causing the Bananas to ripen! How to Ripen Bananas Overnight #bananas #ripenbananas #howto #bananahack #lifehack

Thanks, I like mine hard and green for my smoothies, but when yellow and brown they are sweeter!
