Fortnite….Fortnite…Fortnite… that is all our 8-year-old seems to talk about these days.
I get it, it’s a brilliantly made game and it’s something he can enjoy playing online with friends.
For now, the game stays but, we’ve found other ways to incorporate Fortnite into our lives away from the screen and one of those is with this DIY LEGO Fortnite V-Bucks craft.
Yes! We combined our love for building LEGO’s with our son’s love of the video game Fortnite.
The best thing about this craft is, you most likely have all of the pieces you need at home.
But if you don’t, you can easily purchase the individual pieces right on the LEGO website for under $5!
LEGO Fortnite V-Bucks
The LEGO pieces you’ll need to make this craft:
- 1- Light Grey Plate 6X6 Round w. Snap
- 4 – Dark Grey Stone Plate 4X4, 1/4 Circle
- 1 – Dark Grey Stone Plate 2X2 with 1 Knob
- 1- Dark Grey Stone Corner Plate 1X2X2
- 4 – Light Grey Corner Plate 1X2X2
- 8 – Light Grey Plate 1X4
- 4 – Light Grey Plate 1X1
- 3 – Transparent Blue 1X2 Tile
- 2 – White 1X2 Tile
- 1 – White 1X1 Tile
How to make it:
Start with the light grey 6×6 round plate and place the (4) 4X4 dark grey stone plate 1/4 circles on top (basically will end up with 2 circles on top of each other).
Next, place the 8 light grey 1X4 plates on the outer edge of the circles stacking them 2 plates high.
Now, fill in the gaps with the 4 light grey corner plate 1X2X2 and place the 4 light grey 1X1 plates on top.
Next we are going to attach the 3 transparent blue 1X2 tiles. Start by placing one of the blue tiles in the center of one the grey 1X4 plates that are along the edges of the set.
The other two will be placed on the opposite end on the two light grey 1X1 tiles that are on the sides, then angle them so that they line up with the edge of the structure.
Finally we are going to make the V that will go in the center of the our creation.
Start by placing the dark grey stone plate 2X2 with 1 knob in the bottom center of the structure, down towards the end where our two transparent blue pieces are.
Next, place the white 1X1 tile and the white 1X2 tiles on top of the dark grey stone corner plate 1X2X2 so that it is shaped like a V. Now place your V on the dark grey stone plate 2X2 with 1 knob so that it is right in the center of the structure.
You’re now done with your LEGO Fortnite V-Bucks!
