Nutter Butter Snowman Cookies

It’s snowy outside and that means only 1 thing: it’s time to make snowmen. Don’t particularly enjoy the cold? Don’t worry! I don’t either. So instead of heading outside to make snowmen, stay inside and make these Nutter Butter Snowman Cookies! That way you stay warm and can still say you made a snowman! 😉

What you will need to make Nutter Butter Snowman Cookies:

  • 1 Package Nutter Butter Cookies
  • 1 Package of Ghirardelli White Chocolate Wafers
  • M&M candies (in a variety of colors)
  • 2 Egg Whites
  • 1 Cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Cream of Tartar
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla
  • Black gel food coloring
  • Wax Paper
  • Piping Bag
  • #2 Tip

How to Make Nutter Butter Snowman Cookies:

  1. Line a cookie with wax paper.
  2. Using a double boiler melt the white chocolate wafers (you can also use the microwave).
  3. Dip each Nutter Butter cookies entirely into the melted  white chocolate ensuring the entire cookie covered.
  4. Gently remove the cookie from the melted chocolate then using a fork.
  5. Lay the white chocolate covered cookie on the wax paper to dry.
  6. Place two  matching colored M & M”s on the lower half of the cookie.
  7. Stand one orange M&M on it’s side directly below the candy eyes and place it as the nose.
  8. Allow to dry completely before moving onto the next directions.
  9. Separate the egg yolk from the whites. Putting only the egg whites into a mixing bowl.
  10. Stir in the sugar, cream of tartar and vanilla to the egg whites. Beating on medium for 6 minutes. Note: If the icing has the appearance of  soup or is yellow in color add more powder sugar, 1 cup.
  11. Put the icing in a bowl adding in some of the black gel food coloring.  Mix well.
  12. Begin to scoop all of the black icing and put it into a piping bag with #2 tip.
  13. Using the black icing and make two black dots for the eyes in the middle of the top half of the Nutter Butter cookie.
  14. Using the same black icing make a smile with four smaller black dots under the nose.nutter butter snowman cookies featured
  15. Allow the chocolate and icing to completely dry.
  16. Serve and Enjoy!
