Oogie Boogie Punch

One of my favorite Halloween movies is The Nightmare Before Christmas so naturally, I’ve created all sorts of fun Nightmare Before Christmas Halloween treats.

Adding one more to this list, it is Oogie Boogie Punch that is fun and easy to make. In fact, I bet the kids will love to help make it.

What You Need to Make Oogie Boogie Punch

oogie boogie dice ingredients

What sort of sherbet should I use?

Since Oogie Boogie is green, we used lemon lime sherbet you can find at your local grocery store.

What sort of gummy bugs should I use?

I personally love the gummy bugs from 7-Eleven but you can use any you’d like. Keep in mind, these can be a choking hazard for small children which is why I recommend allowing kids to drink their Oogie Boogie punch through the straw.

How many servings does this recipe make?

This recipe makes 1 glass of Oogie Boogie punch. However, you could put an entire batch in a large punch bowl. Just use an entire container of sherbet, 1 bottle of lemon-lime soda, a pack of candy bugs and scoop into individual cups.

How far in advance can I make this?

I would make it right before you are ready to enjoy it otherwise the sherbet will melt.

How to Make Oogie Boogie Punch

Start by making Oogie Boogie’s Snake Eyes dice. You will use 2 square marshmallows and draw on the details of his dice (use a picture found on Google) using the black food marker. You can then stick these onto the straw by pushing gently through the middle of the marshmallow.

Next, add 1-2 scoops of lime sherbet to your glass.

Pour lemon-lime soda (such as Sprite) over the top of the sherbet filling the glass entirely (it may bubble and that is totally okay).

Top off with the gummy bug candy.

Add your straw.
