Frequently Asked Questions

How far in advance can I make these?

You can make these jello shots 2-3 days in advance and store in the fridge. However, I suggest adding the toppings and garnish right before serving to ensure the whipped cream and candy canes don’t melt.

I can’t find Smirnoff Peppermint Twist, what can I use instead?

Peppermint schnapps is a great alternative or any peppermint-flavored liquor.

  1. I just made these and once they were set up, they were like rubber discs and not pudding consistency. Is it correct to use that much gelatin?

    1. These won’t have a pudding texture since there is gelatin. The correct consistency is the jello texture. Hope that helps!

  2. Misty Lyons says:

How much water should be used?

    1. You will use 1/2 cup of water total (per the instructions on the unflavored gelatin box) 🙂

  3. Recipe does not say how much water to use. It’s useless.
