Pokemon Pokeball Squishy

Along with slime, squishies are all the craze right now especially among kids.

Once we heard the new Pokemon movie was being released in May, we decided it was time to choose a Pokemon themed craft and we made a Pokemon Pokeball Squishy.

This craft can be made in just a few minutes but will be fun to play with for hours.

Our boys have been running our house for days throwing these at random objects saying “I choose you!”.

And let’s be honest – if you’re looking for a stress reliever, this is the coolest looking one around.

Pokemon Pokeball Squishy

I do want to point out that before you go get supplies, you’ll want to make sure you can find puff paint, it’s what helps make the squishy, well, squishy!

I found puffy paint at my local Walmart for like $0.50 a bottle so it’s worth grabbing!

Here is what you’ll need to make a Pokemon Pokeball Squishy:

How to make a Pokemon Pokeball Squishy:

First, start by applying tape to the middle of your round cosmetic sponge. We found using Scotch tape was easiest.

Now, paint the top half of your sponge with the red puffy paint and once painted, remove the piece of tape and allow to dry.

The bottom half of the sponge remains white.

Once dry, apply more tape this time sectioning off a small area for the black part of the Pokeball. You want to paint this using the black puffy paint. Once again, once painted, remove the tape and allow to dry.

Now, take your larger larger round foam sponge and dip into the black puffy paint and place into the middle of the sponge creating the Pokeball button.

Next, take the smaller round foam sponge and dip it into the grey/silver puffy paint and place on top of the black round area.

Allow all of the paint to dry.

Once dry, you can play with your new Pokemon Pokeball Squishy.
