Why You’ll Love This Recipe
- It is easy to make – Just throw the ingredients into a large bowl to mix then fill your jello shot cups and throw into the refrigerator.
- It is delicious – If you like grape flavor, you are going to love these!
What You Need to Make Purple Hooter Jello Shots
- Grape Jello – You can use sugar free too
- Boiling Water– To help the gelatin dissolve
- Red Berry Vodka – This pairs so well with the grape jello
- Lime Juice
- Whipped Topping– optional
- Purple Sanding Sugar – optional
Helpful Tips
- Do not garnish the shots if you are planning on storing them. These can be stored, lids on, and no garnish, for up to 1 week. You’re welcome to freeze them, but it makes the consistency of the jello awkward. So, it’s up to you, but I don’t prefer it.
- You can use regular vodka and use a berry flavored liqueur, if you can’t find a berry vodka. Just don’t go over the total amount of alcohol used.
- If you want your jello shots thinner, you can add more alcohol. If you want them firmer, add less alcohol and replace it with more water.
- We used plastic 2 ounce jello shot cups (or condiment cups) with lids
