With all of the upcoming barbecues and parties you plan to attend this Summer you are going to want an inexpensive, tasty, and simple thing to bring to the party. These Simple Tequila Lime Jello Shots are the perfect way to offer something delicious and fun to the party!
I actually made these a few weeks back for a friends birthday party. I made about 80 of them and placed them on a large round tray. Everyone went wild for them. The best part was, people actually thought it took me forever to make them and that I had made them the night before. But I am going to tell you a little secret… These were made in less than 30 minutes AND I totally made them only a few hours before the party!

How to Make Tequila Lime Jello Shots:
Ingredients:
- Lime Jello Mix
- Clear Tequila (I used
- Salt for garnish (optional)
You will also need clear plastic shot glasses which I found in a pack of 25 for $1 at Dollar Tree.
Directions:
- Make the Jello according to the directions on the package.
- Allow jello mixture to reach room temperature. If you don’t, the heat from the boiled jello can cook out the alcohol in the tequila.
- Add your desired amount of tequila to the jello mixture. You can measure shot by shot or if you are making a large batch, use half of a bottle. Mix well.
- Pour the mixture into the individual shot glasses. I found it’s easier to have the shot glasses on a tray before pouring to make transferring to the fridge easier. Each shot glass takes about 1/8 cup to fill. (Note: If you wish to garnish the tops with salt do this before pouring the mixture into the shot glasses)
- Refrigerate the jello shots for at least 2 hours to allow the jello to set.
- Serve and Enjoy!
These are so simple to make and they taste delicious. Sort of like mini margaritas! Great way to enjoy any party!
