This Spiked Arnold Palmer is a perfectly refreshing drink that combines lemonade, tea and whiskey for a one-of-a-kind cocktail that was made for sharing. It’s easy to make and even easier to drink.
Arnold Palmer Drink
A traditional Arnold Palmer is half lemonade and half tea. However, this boozy Arnold Palmer drink has a little whiskey that gives it a slight smoky flavor.
I love to enjoy an Arnold Palmer while I bask in the hot summer sun or while we are entertaining at a family barbecue. But if I am being really honest, there is no wrong time to drink an Arnold Palmer, it’s really a matter of when you are craving something sweet and sour.

Is an Arnold Palmer made with sweet or unsweet tea?
An Arnold Palmer is traditionally made with unsweetened tea. However, if you want your Arnold Palmer to be on the sweeter side, you can make it with sweetened tea or use simple syrup to make it sweeter.
What You Need to Make A Spiked Arnold Palmer
- 4 Ounces Unsweetened Tea (sweetened if you want it more sweet) You can either steep fresh tea or use the pre-made kind.
- 2 Ounces Lemonade (Homemade is best but I also love the Simply Lemonade)
- 2 Ounces Bourbon Whiskey (I prefer the Jack Daniels)
- Ice
- Lemon, sliced for garnish (optional)
How to Make A Spiked Arnold Palmer
Start by filling your cup about halfway with ice. If you don’t want to water down your Arnold Palmer, try using some reusable ice cubes.
Measure and pour in your lemonade, whiskey, and finally, your tea.
Stir and garnish with a slice of lemon!
Serve and Enjoy!
Helpful Tips:
- If you prefer a sweeter drink, you can use sweet tea instead or use simple syrup alongside the unsweetened tea.
- You can shake all of the ingredients in a shaker before pouring into your glass. This will help it get really cold really fast.
- You can always combine the ingredients in a separate glass and then pour it over the ice, if desired. This won’t make it as cold quickly.
- Lemonade and tea tend to take longer to chill, so assembling it over ice helps this issue.
