Taco Bell Grilled Cheese Burrito Ingredients

  • Ground beef – lean (you can also use ground turkey if you prefer)
  • Water
  • Taco Seasoning – I like the actual Taco Bell Brand
  • Mexican cheese blend – use any cheese you want
  • Mexican rice – make your own rice, or grab a bag of instant Mexican rice
  • Nacho cheese – You can use the actual Taco Bell Brand or use your favorite kind
  • Fiesta strips
  • Sour cream – regular or low fat (can also substitute with plain greek yogurt)
  • Burrito tortillas – Burrito sized tortillas
  • Sour cream
  • Mayonnaise
  • Chipotle in adobo sauce
  • Lime juice
  • Garlic powder

Things to Note:

  • I like to make my own chipotle sauce, but you can use Chipotle Aoli if you prefer.
  • Don’t over stuff your burrito or it may break the tortilla.

How to Store Leftovers:

  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
  • May be frozen for up to 3 months.

How to Make A Taco Bell Grilled Cheese Burrito at Home

Cook the beef over medium-high heat until no longer pink.  Stir in the water and add the taco seasoning.

Wrap the tortillas in a damp paper towel and microwave for 20 seconds.

Reserve 1 cup of cheese to grill on the burritos.

Lay out a tortilla and fill it with a few spoons of beef, cheese, rice, nacho cheese, a spread of chipotle sauce, fiesta strips, and sour cream.  Continue filling the remaining burritos.

Fold the sides in, then start at one end and roll up.

Spread a ¼  cup of the cheese down the middle of a hot pan. When the cheese begins to melt, place a burrito on the cheese and grill the burrito until the cheese is slightly browned.  Gently lift from the pan.

  • 1 cup Mexican rice your own recipe or a bag of premade rice
  • 1 cup nacho cheese
  • 1 Chipotle sauce below
  • 1 cup Fiesta strips
  • ½ cup sour cream

For The Chipotle Sauce

  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 2 Tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 chipotle in adobo sauce
  • 1 teaspoon freshly squeezed lime juice
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
