I know you might be thinking, that a burger on an English muffin sounds strange. After all, when you think of an English muffin, you probably think of it for breakfast.

But seriously, try it if you haven’t already. It is so delicious and I cannot believe I haven’t thought about making this recipe before!

This recipe is super easy to make and I promise, once you make your burger this way, you’ll never want to go back!

Turkey Bacon Avocado Burger

Ingredients needed for this recipe:

  • Bays English Muffins
  • 16 oz. Ground Turkey
  • 1/4 Cup Onions, Diced
  • 1 Tablespoon Garlic, Minced
  • 1/2 Tablespoon Fresh Parsley, Chopped
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/4 Cup Breadcrumbs
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste
  • Fresh Vegetables (Lettuce, Tomato, Avocado, etc.)
  • Sliced Cheese
  • Ranch Dressing (optional)
  • Olive Oil or Non-Stick Spray

When shopping for your ingredients, you’ll find the Bay’s English Muffins in the dairy case (typically by the eggs), carefully chilled for freshness. I only say this, because I didn’t realize that some english muffins need to be refrigerated liked these. The best news is – Bays English Muffins are pre-sliced and easy to use. So, you can buy and be ready to make these delicious burgers in no time!

How to make this recipe:

First, start by preparing all of your vegetables by washing, drying and cutting them.

Next, cook your bacon (I like to bake mine in the oven until it becomes nice and crispy).

While your bacon is cooking, you can start to prepare the meat by placing your ground turkey meat into a large bowl.

Now, add in your onion, parsley, garlic, egg, breadcrumbs and salt and pepper. Use your hands to knead the ingredients together.

It’s time to make the burger patties! Using your hands (you can totally wear gloves for this) form turkey burger patties to fit the size of the english muffin and place onto a cutting board or plate.

Now, heat up your saucepan on medium heat and drizzle in a little bit of Olive Oil or spray non-stick cooking spray.

Place your turkey burgers into the heated saucepan and allow to cook about 5 minutes on that side before flipping to cook on the other side. This allows your meat to cook throughly while keeping the burger moist and juicy!

Once your turkey burgers have been cooked entirely, remove from the heat and assemble your burger.

Tip: I highly recommend toasting your Bays english muffins so they are nice and warm!

We placed the lettuce on the top of the english muffin then the turkey patty, cheese, bacon, tomato, avocado, some ranch dressing then the top of the english muffin.

Serve them up with a side salad, grilled pineapple, chips or fresh watermelon. YUM!
