UPS works hard year round to deliver our packages especially during the holiday season. Have you ever stopped to think about how they do that?
Well, every year so many of us place orders online to have holiday gifts mailed directly to our home. We then receive a delivery date and anxiously wait for our package to arrive on time and in the best condition possible. That is all thanks to our UPS drivers which are made of men and women who ensure our gifts arrive to us safely. After all, holiday packages start with a wish! And now through the UPS #WishesDelivered campaign, you can share your wish and give a little back this holiday season (more on that below).
The UPS #WishesDelivered campaign allows you to share your general wish for the greater good. You can also share how you or someone in your community is making wishes come true by being a “problem solver.” For each of these wish stories shared with the hashtag #WishesDelivered, UPS will donate $1 to one of their charity partners (Boys & Girls Club of America, World Food Programme, Toys for Tots Literacy Program, The Salvation Army, The UN Refugee Agency) up to $150K!
That means you are helping a little more wishes come true this holiday season just by sharing yours!
I have a friend named Michelle and every year she puts together donation drives (not just during the holidays) to help give back and serve others in our community. She is a true hero and does everything out of the kindness of her heart. I look up to her and wish her the very best holidays.
I also think my UPS driver is a great example of someone who helps make wishes come true. I actually know my UPS driver personally and he is a wonderful man. Every holiday season I express my gratitude by giving him a gift even if it’s small. It just shows that I am thinking of him and appreciate a job well done every year. So again, I wish him the best holidays possible!
Ready to share your wish?
Through January 1st, 2016 you can visit the #WishesDelivered Site and share your wish for a chance to be featured on the site. Don’t forget that when you share your wish, you are also donating $1 to one of UPS’s charity partners!
