I recently fell in love with the farmhouse look and I am currently in the process of redecorating my home.
As you may know, home decor is not cheap so I am finding ways to decorate with that Farmhouse look without breaking the bank.
That is where Dollar Tree has been a huge lifesaver for me!
These Valentine Farmhouse Mason Jars are the perfect farmhouse decor for Valentine’s Day. The best part is, the jars can be reused for each holiday and you can just swap out the tags and contents of the jar.
So, if you are looking for an inexpensive farmhouse style way to decorate your home, this is it!
What You Need to Make Valentine Farmhouse Mason Jars
- Mason Jars (my Dollar Tree had them but you might have some on hand that will work great)
- Waverly white chalk paint (regular paint works fine but I like this as it dries quicker)
- Paint Brush
- Twine
- Scissors
- Chalkboard Heart Tags
My Dollar Tree had everything I needed but you can also order everything you need online too!
How to Make Valentine Farmhouse Mason Jars
Start by applying 2 coats of Waverly White Chalk Paint allowing enough time to dry in between to get the best coverage.
Next leave about 6 inches free and the wrap the twin about 5 times around the top of the jar leaving 6 inches at the end to create the bow.
String the heart chalkboard tag on and tie a bow.
Style and Enjoy!
You can also write fun sayings on the tags each day or make them into cute little conversation hearts using colored chalk markers!
Tip: You can even use a small piece of sand paper to give the jar a distressed look if you’d like.
