Watermelon Jello Shots

Watermelon Jello Shots are the perfect boozy treat to make for summer parties. They are layered to look like pieces of watermelon and even taste like a fresh watermelon.

When it comes to making jello shots, they must be easy to make and delicious. After all, you are likely making them to share, right?

While you totally don’t have to share, I am betting this watermelon jello shot recipe will quickly become a favorite especially for summer gatherings and bbq’s.

It may look like these are complicated to make but really, it’s just a matter of layering different sections of Jello and allowing them to set. They are truly easy to make and even easier to eat!

How to Make Watermelon Jello Shots

Ingredients:

Directions:

In a medium sized bowl, add the water, and sprinkle the Gelatin Powder on the top, and allow it to bloom, following the directions on the package.  Stir well to blend, and divide the Gelatin into three smaller bowls.

In one bowl, add the Green Food Coloring Gel and stir well.

In one of the other bowls, add the Sweetened Condensed Milk.

In the last bowl, add the Raspberry Pink Food Coloring Gel. 

Add Vodka to the Green Bowl and add the Watermelon Vodka to the Raspberry Pink bowl. 

Fill the shot cups 1/3 full with the Green Gelatin, and place in the refrigerator for 1 hour, until the Gelatin has set up.

After the Gelatin has set, remove from the Refrigerator, and add the White layer, filling another 1/3 of the shot glass, making it 2/3 full.  Place the shot glasses back in the Refrigerator for 1 hour to let the White Layer set.

Remove the shot glasses when the White layer is set, and Fill the rest of the way with the Raspberry Pink layer, and place back in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. 

Remove from the refrigerator, and drop in the Chocolate Chips on top and they will slowly sink into the middle of the Pink Layer.

Place back in the refrigerator until ready to serve.  

Serve and Enjoy!

Things to Note:

  • Instead of using the unflavored gelatin, you can use watermelon or jolly rancher gelatin.
  • You can serve these with mini spoons so guests can scoop out the mixture to enjoy.
  • You can top off with tiny pieces of watermelon slices.
  • To make for easy transport to the fridge, place jello shots on a cookie sheet to give them some stability.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 Packages of Unflavored Gelatin
  • 3 cups of Water
  • Green and Raspberry Pink Food Coloring Gel
  • 1 Tablespoon of Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • ¼ cup of Mini Chocolate Chips
  • 3 drops of Watermelon Flavoring
  • 1 Cup of Vodka
  • ½ cup of Watermelon Vodka

Instructions
 

  • In a medium sized bowl, add the water, and sprinkle the Gelatin on the top, and allow it to bloom, following the directions on the package.  Stir well to blend, and divide the Gelatin into three smaller bowls. 
  • In one bowl, add the Green Food Coloring Gel and stir well.
  • In one of the other bowls, add the Sweetened Condensed Milk.
  • In the last bowl, add the Raspberry Pink Food Coloring Gel. 
  • Add Vodka to the Green Bowl and add the Watermelon Vodka to the Raspberry Pink bowl. 
  • Fill the shot cups 1/3 full with the Green Gelatin, and place in the refrigerator for 1 hour, until the Gelatin has set up.
