Ingredients

  • 1 Cup All Purpose Flour
  • 2 Tablespoons Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • ½ Cup Butter
  • 1 Cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Neon Green Gel Food Color
  • Red Candy Hearts

Instructions

  • Add butter, sugar, and flour in a large mixing bowl, and stir until completely blended. Then add vanilla and stir again.
  • Next, add green food coloring gel and stir until all of the dough is green.
  • Scoop dough with a cookie scoop (about 1 inch balls) and place a red candy heart into the center of the dough.
  • Place scooped dough on a cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes.
  • Remove cookies from the oven and place on a wire cooking rack to cool for 5 minutes. While cookies are still tacky and warm, place a red heart sprinkle in the center of the dough (top middle of the cookies).
  • Roll each cookie in powdered sugar and place back on the cooling rack to serve. You can also attach an additional red candy heart on top of the cookie (can use a powdered sugar and water paste to make it stick like "glue").
  • Serve and enjoy!
