These Valentine's Day Brownies are homemade with butter, cocoa, flour and a few other ingredients and then covered with a chocolate ganache for the perfect ooey, gooey brownie recipe to enjoy with your sweetheart!
Preheat your oven to 350 and spray a 9x13 baking pan with non-stick cooking spray
Using a medium bowl, melt the butter in the microwave and then mix together the melted butter, oil, and sugars
Whisk in the eggs and vanilla extract
Using a separate large bowl whisk together the flour, cocoa, salt and baking powder
Gradually whisk in the dry ingredients into the wet then fold in the chocolate chips
Pour batter into the baking pan and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean
Allow to cool completely before frosting
Once cooled, prepare the chocolate ganache
Using a small pot, bring the heavy cream to a boil and pour over the chocolate chips in a medium bowl and let sit for 1 minute
Whisk until smooth
Spread evenly onto the top of the brownies
Sprinkle Valentine's Day Sprinkles on top of the ganache while the ganache is still sticky
Allow the ganache to set before cutting into bars and enjoying with a large glass of milk! Store any leftovers in an airtight container or cover with aluminum foil.
