Ingredients

  • 4 Cups Rice Krispies Cereal
  • 4 Cups Mini Marshmallows
  • 3 Tablespoons Butter unsalted
  • ½ Teaspoon Green Gel Food Dye
  • 6 Large Red Heart Sprinkles

Instructions

  • Line a 9-inch square baking dish with parchment paper and coat with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Place the butter and marshmallows in a medium bowl and microwave for 2 minutes or until the marshmallows begin to get puffy and grow.
  • Remove them and stir. If there are still lumps, put them back in for 15 seconds at a time and stir until smooth.
  • Add the green food dye (as much as you want until you reach your desired shade of green. I ended up using the entire container as I wanted mine really green) and stir until no streaks appear.
  • Add in the rice krispies and mix until the cereal is fully coated with the green marshmallow mixture.
  • Pour into the pan, spread even, and lightly pack it down.
  • Leave to sit for about 2 hours at room temp, or in a cool room, or until set.
  • Slice the treats into 6 even hunks and place a red heart at the upper right corner of each.
  • Serve and Enjoy!
