Total Time 10 minutes
Servings 12 Cones

Ingredients

  • Ice Cream
  • 12 Waffle Cones
  • 1 Bag Mini Marshmallows
  • 1 Bag Mini Chocolate Chips
  • Favorite Toppings - Crushed candy Crushed Oreos, Crushed Graham Crackers (really any you'd like)
  • Aluminum Foil
  • Marshmallow Roasting Sticks

Instructions

  • Start by getting your toppings together. We found it easiest to put them all on a plate or divided serving tray.
  • Grab an ice cream cone and put 5-7 mini marshmallows into the bottom and then top with about a teaspoon of mini chocolate chips.
  • Cut a piece of aluminum foil that will allow you to roll the cone inside. You want it to be big enough to have excess at the top so you can create a string of foil you'll use to hang over the fire.
  • Place foil on a table and carefully wrap your cone in the foil with the cone upright (ingredients at the top). Ensure the bottom is completely wrapped tight so nothing will leak out as you cook it over the fire.
  • Twist the foil at the top to create a carrot-like stem then wrap this around the marshmallow roasting fork.
  • Hold the cone over the open flames of the campfire for about 2-3 minutes. Be careful not to burn. Note: You can also do this over hot coals of a fire but it will take longer for the gooey marshmallows to melt.
  • Once done, remove from the heat source and allow to cool down for a few minutes before removing the foil. You can then wrap the foil around the bottom of the cone to prevent leaking.
  • Top off with your favorite scoop of ice cream and any toppings you'd like.
  • Serve immediately and Enjoy!
