Ingredients

For The Cake

  • 1 cup boiling of Water
  • ¼ cup of Butter
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 teaspoon of Vanilla
  • 1 cup of Sugar
  • 1 cup of Flour
  • 3 Tablespoons of Cocoa
  • 2 teaspoons of Baking Powder
  • ¼ teaspoon of Salt
  • 1 teaspoon of Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon of Monin Peppermint Syrup

For The Frosting

  • 1 can of Vanilla Frosting
  • 1 package of Candy Cane's or Peppermints - some crushed to sprinkle on top - some whole peppermints to top

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, add the Water, Butter, Egg, Vanilla, and Sugar, and stir well until smooth.
  • Add the Flour, Cocoa, Baking Powder, Salt, and Baking Soda, and stir until well blended.
  • Add the Peppermint Syrup, and stir well to mix.
  • Spray the Foil Pan, generously with Cooking Spray, and pour the Cake Batter into the pan.
  • Place the pan in the Air Fryer, and bake at 350 degrees for 15 - 18 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.  (Make sure to check the Cake in the Air Fryer after about 10 to 12 minutes).
  • When the Cake is done, remove from the Air Fryer to a wire rack, and cool completely.
  • When the Cake is completely cooled, Frost the Cake, right in the pan, with the Vanilla Frosting.
  • Crush part of the Candy Canes, or Peppermints, and sprinkle on top of the Frosting.  Add whole Peppermints to each piece of Cake before serving.
  • Serve and Enjoy!
