Gingerbread Pie is the perfect dessert for any holiday celebration. Layered with gingerbread flavor, a creamy cream cheese layer and topped with whipped cream and spices, you simply won't need another holiday pie recipe ever again!

Ingredients
  

For The Pie

  • One 9in pre-made pie shell
  • ¼ cup unsalted sweet cream butter
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 ¼ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup molasses
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt

For The Sour Cream Layer

  • 1 ½ cup sour cream
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Place the pie shell onto a cookie sheet and preheat the oven to 350 degrees
  • Using a small bowl, melt the butter and allow to cool slightly
  • Using a large bowl, beat together the eggs and sugar until combined and then add the melted butter and stir until combined
  • Beat in the molasses, heavy cream, and lemon juice until combined
  • Beat in the dry ingredients until combined
  • Pour the batter into the pie shell and bake in the oven for 45-60minutes or until the center is firm
  • Remove from oven and increase oven temp to 425 degrees
  • Using a medium bowl, whisk together the sour cream, sugar, and vanilla until combined and smooth
  • Pour over the top of the pie
  • Place into the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes
  • Remove from oven and allow to cool completely before placing into the fridge overnight
  • Top with fresh whipped cream, cinnamon and Gingerbread Oreos before serving!
  • Enjoy!
