With that being said, this Christmas Brittle is a great option for anyone in your life that has a nut allergy.

It is also incredibly easy to make and can be made in the microwave in just minutes!

Frequently Asked Questions

How far in advance can I make this brittle?
You can make these 1-2 days in advance. If you’re not serving immediately; line an airtight container with Parchment paper, and place the brittle on the paper and seal the lid on the container. Keep away from moisture.

Can I make this to give as a gift?
Yes! This the perfect holiday treat for gift giving as a gift for friend, family, and even neighbors. Give in a fun holiday dessert tin. This brittle is also perfect for bake sales and Christmas parties.

Does Milk Chocolate M&M’s contain nuts?
No. The regular milk chocolate M&M’s do not actually contain nuts. However, they are made in a facility that do make items with nuts (for example, peanut M&M’s). If the person you know is allergic to even cross-contamination, skip using these to be safe.

How do I store leftovers?
For best results, store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature. Place the pieces on waxed paper, or parchment paper to make sure they don’t stick together, and place the paper between layers if you’re stacking the pieces.  Do not store in the refrigerator. The brittle needs to be stored in a cool dry place – not next to the stove, and not in direct sunlight, as it will melt and get sticky. Humidity will ruin the candy, so air tight containers are a must. It can be stored for up to 14 days.

NOTE: This mixture will be extremely hot so be careful when handling it. Keep kids away from the candy mixture as it can cause severe burns.
