How to Save at Hobby Lobby

Hobby Lobby is hands down my favorite craft store. It was truly there for me when I was working on crafts for my book. But you know what wasn’t? The savings. While Hobby Lobby has new items on sale each week, sometimes you just want to save on one specific item and that is where promo/coupon codes will come in handy. So today, let’s talk about How to Save at Hobby Lobby when you truly think all hope is lost!
How to Save at Hobby Lobby
It’s no secret that Hobby Lobby has the best selection when comes to all things craft and DIY. One step inside their store and your mind will explode with ideas for things to make and ways to decorate your home. What your mind won’t be able to do is think reasonably about all the spending that is about to happen. That is just one reason sometimes I like to shop online at Hobby Lobby to avoid overspending and avoid all the lines (the weekend lines are the worst there).
Let’s take today as an example, I wanted to buy a new cutting blade for my Silhouette machine. Sure, I can order it on Amazon but there are other things I am looking to buy from Hobby Lobby (and I like to keep shipping fees to a minimum) so I added the blade to my cart.
You can see the blade is $24.99 + shipping and taxes (which haven’t calculated yet) brings the total to $32.94. Yikes! All for one cutting blade?
There is also a promo code box right below the item in my cart. So I head on a Google search: “Hobby Lobby Promo Codes”. Oh wow, that produced a lot of results and is a tad-bit overwhelming. Again, the end goal here is to get what I need online, save and checkout so I can go about my day.
Then I remember Hobby Lobby ALWAYS has a 40% off coupon code you can use online and in-store. So, I go back to Hobby Lobby and sure enough, there is the coupon right at the top of the page. I also noticed they are offering free shipping on orders of $50 or more through tomorrow. Doesn’t look like a promo code is needed for that one.
I clicked “Get Coupon” and it automatically applied the discount to my cart. However, I am still paying $6.95 for shipping. So I add a few more things to my cart and get 40% off one item + free shipping. Now it’s worth noting the 40% off only applies to full-price items meaning if it’s already on sale, you cannot use the 40% off coupon. This is the same for in-store as well.
So, all of this made me think, what if I have sale items in my cart, is there any way I can save more? Well, there are a few ways…
- Sign-up for the Hobby Lobby newsletter. They will email you with promo codes and more.
- Check deal sites for active promo codes. I was recently introduced to Dealspotr which is a great resource (I’ll explain more below).
Dealspotr is different!
When I was introduced to Dealspotr is looked like another coupon code/savings site and while it is, it is also different in the way it offers active promo codes. For example, I went there looking for Hobby Lobby promo codes. It listed the 40% off coupon code I knew about but then several others I didn’t.
In the screenshot above you can see two different saving options I had no idea about. One you can save $5 off the purchase of a Hobby Lobby gift card. Second, you can sign-up for the Hobby Lobby rewards card and earn $25 in rewards for every 2,500 points you earn. Um, what? I’ve been shopping with Hobby Lobby for years and have never once been told about their rewards card. I literally had no idea until today.
So, you see, using a website like Dealspotr can save you time and money. Whether you are shopping online or in-store you can save every single time at Hobby Lobby. With the holiday’s nearing you will want to have a website that has all the latest and greatest active promo codes ready at your disposal.
Plus, you can become a member of Dealspotr and earn 2,000 points bonus when you join and complete your new user checklist and post your first valid deal. These points can then be collected and redeemed for Amazon gift cards. That means even more savings for holiday shopping! You get to shop and save then come back to Dealspotr and help others save by sharing deals you find. Doing so, helps you earn rewards and save even more. Total win-win!
Note: You must join through my link here or enter promo code BPYPER during sign-up in order to be eligible to receive your 2,000 points bonus.
