It’s like I always say, everything is better with chocolate. The truth still stands with these creamy pudding shots.

Pudding shots are a lot like jello shots only instead of jello, you use pudding mixture as the base.

These alcoholic pudding shots are easy to make and require just a few minutes of prep time. You can serve these up at parties, holidays and really, any time of the year.

In the mixing bowl of a stand mixer, place the heavy cream and whip until it becomes thick and stiff peaks form.

Remove and transfer to a small bowl, and place in the refrigerator.

Add the Whipped cream and mix on low just to blend.

Fill plastic shot cups with the chocolate pudding mixture and place on a tray or cookie sheet.

Place in the refrigerator to allow the chocolate mixture to thicken and set. About 2 hours.

Before serving, top with whipped cream and Chocolate Sprinkles.

Things to Note:

  • You can top with extra creamy cool whip instead of the whipped cream if you prefer.
  • I used 2 oz. plastic pudding cups and you can get the ones with lids if you plan to transport them.
  • These can be made ahead of time and placed into the fridge 1-2 days before your event. Wait to add the whipped cream and sprinkles until right before serving or they will melt.
  • You can use your choice of instant pudding. I really like Jell-O brand or Ghirardelli.
  • If you don’t like RUm Chata, you can use any chocolate liqueur instead.
  • You can also make these for the holiday season and make them hot cocoa pudding shots and use mini marshmallow bits on top instead of the sprinkles.
  • You can find tiny plastic spoons to allow guests to scoop out the boozy pudding.
