I have loved The Nightmare Before Christmas since the first time I watched it and over the years, my love for the characters has grown.

I’ve taken that love and created all sorts of Nightmare Before Christmas Recipes. Everything from Jack Skellington Jello Shots to Oogie Boogie Cookies.

And now, I’ve put made Jack Skellington into a giant cookie that is enough to share, but you are totally going to want to keep it all to yourself.

This Jack Skellington Cookie Skillet is filled with sugar, chocolate and frosting for a one-of-a-kind Halloween treat. Enjoy it watching your favorite Halloween movie to bring a little spook to your night.

What You Need to Make A Jack Skellington Cookie Skillet

For The Cookie:

  • 2 Cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 3⁄4 Cup unsalted sweet cream butter butter
  • 3⁄4 Cup sugar
  • 3⁄4 Cup light brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1 1⁄2 Cups Halloween M&M’s

For The Vanilla Frosting:

How to Make A Jack Skellington Cookie Skillet

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and spray a 9inch cast iron skillet with nonstick baking spray.

Add butter, sugar and brown sugar in a large mixing bowl.

Using an electric mixing cream the butter, sugar, and brown sugar together until smooth.

Add in the egg and pure vanilla extract to the mixing bowl. Beat until light and fluffy.

Sift flour, salt, and baking soda in an additional large bowl.

Slowly add 1/3rd of the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients.

Beat after each addition to mix all ingredients.

Fold in the 1 Cup of M&M’s.

Scoop the batter into the prepared skillet.

Smooth the top of the dough with an offset spatula or butter knife.

Sprinkle the remaining M&M’s on top.

Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.

Set aside to cool completely before decorating.

While the cookie is cooling, it’s time to make the frosting. You can skip this step and just use premade cans of frosting if you prefer.

Using a standing mixer, beat the butter, powdered sugar, vanilla and heavy whipping cream until combined, smooth, and thick.

Scoop about 1 Cup of frosting into a small bowl and mix in a few drops of the black gel food coloring

Scoop the black frosting into 1 piping bag and set aside.

Scoop the white frosting into the other piping bag.

Cut the tips off each piping bag or use a round tip.

Using the white frosting, pipe a oval/circle onto the cookie
