What You Need to Make Multi-Grain Blackberry Waffles with Yogurt:
- 2 cups Multigrain Waffle Mix (I used the Trader Joe’s brand)
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- Non-stick cooking spray
- Greek Yogurt
- Blackberry Jam
If blackberry jam isn’t your thing, give this Homemade Strawberry Syrup a try!
How to Make Multi-Grain Blackberry Waffles with Yogurt:
Start by preheating the waffle iron.
Next, using a large bowl, add multigrain waffle mix, whole milk, buttermilk, eggs, and the extra virgin olive oil. Now combine ingredients using a wire whisk or fork.
Let waffle mix stand at room temperature for 10 minutes. This just allows it to set the the mixture to become a thicker batter.
Now, spray waffle iron with non-stick cooking spray and add three (3) tablespoons into each waffle square, add a whole single blackberry into the center of the waffle batter.
Close the lid on the waffle maker and cook until the waffles are golden brown. I usually use a fork to remove the waffles so you don’t burn your hands.
Now place two waffles on a serving plate and top with yogurt and blackberry jam. It’s oh so good so be prepared to go back for seconds!
