Teacher Pot of Gold Gift Idea + Free Printable

St. Patrick’s Day is just a few short days away and if you are in the need for a quick and easy gift idea for your child’s teacher then you’ve come to the right place! This Teacher Pot of Gold Gift Idea is not only entirely simple to make, but it’s something teachers will find useful (and love) because I mean, who doesn’t love the gift of gold (chocolate)?
And, did I mention I even included the free printable labels for you? Yep, it’s easy-peasy!
What you will need to make a Teacher Pot of Gold:
- Color Printer
- Card Stock ( I used an off white) or paper
- Scissors or a paper cutter (large image)
- Circle Punch (for lid cover)
- Adhesive Spray (for paper use)
- Ribbon
- Jar (I purchased a smooth one at Hobby Lobby)
- Gold Hershey Kisses
- Gold Hershey Nuggets
- Gold Chocolate Coins
- Teacher Gold Free Printable Label
- Teacher Gold Free Printable Lid Label
How to make a Teacher Pot of Gold:
Being by opening up the free printable files in Adobe Reader. Then place sticker paper or card stock in the printer and print. Once printed your sheets should look like this:
Use scissors or a paper cutter to cut the larger image for your jar. Use scissors or a 2.5” paper punch for the lid cover image. You will also want to cut a piece of ribbon to wrap around the jar.
Spray the ribbon with adhesive spray and tape it at the ends for extra adhesion. Place the large image over where the ribbon ends so that it looks nice.
Fill with any GOLD candy. I used Almond Hersey Kisses, Hershey Nuggets, and gold coins from hobby lobby. Check out the final result below!
