Hocus Pocus Hot Cocoa

This Hocus Pocus Hot Cocoa will put a spell on you with every sip. It combines milk, sugar, mint chocolate chips, and a few other ingredients to make a scary good drink for Halloween.

Hocus Pocus is one of my favorite movies. I think I’ve seen that movie about a thousand times.

My kids on the other hand, have only seen it a few times. But after the first time they saw it, they wanted to make this super fun Hocus Pocus Slime.

So, we recently decided to bust it out to get into the Halloween spirit and ended up making this Hocus Pocus Hot Cocoa to sip on while we watched.

How To Hocus Pocus Hot Cocoa

Ingredients you will need to make Hocus Pocus Hot Cocoa:

• Whole milk – You can use any milk but whole milk gives a creamier consistency
• Sugar – You can use stevia or another sugar alternative
• Mint chocolate chips – you can use the Andes mint baking chips
• White Chocolate chips
• Vanilla – Pure extract is best but imitation vanilla works too
• Mint Syrup – You can also use mint extract
• Green gel food coloring
• Whipped Cream
• Halloween Sprinkles

Directions:

In a large pot, combine your milk and sugar.

Place over medium heat and bring the milk to a simmer. Simmer for 4 minutes.

Stir to combine until the sugar is dissolved.

Add the white chocolate chips, mint chocolate chips and green food coloring.

Stir until well combined and the chocolate is melted.

Remove from heat.

Add the vanilla and mint syrup.

Serve Hot and Top with whipped cream and Halloween sprinkles.

Can This Be Made In The Instant Pot?

Yes! Instead of using the oven, you can use your Instant Pot and use the saute function until your milk gets hot enough. Then add the remaining ingredients and make the same way.

The mugs used in this recipe are Rae Dunn Halloween Mugs and I found them at my local Home Goods store. However, there are some cheaper faux versions on etsy that look just like the real thing.
