Copycat Chick-Fil-A Nuggets
As you know by now, Chick-Fil-A is closed on Sunday’s and that can put a real damper on the day if you’re craving Chick-Fil-A Nuggets.
That is where this Copycat Recipe comes into play! You can make juicy and tender Chick-Fil-A Nuggets at home that taste just like the real thing!
Want Chick-Fil-A Grilled Nuggets? How about some Chick-Fil-A Sauce? Don’t worry, there’s a recipe for that too!
What You Need To Make Chick-Fil-A Nuggets
- 2 pounds of chicken cut in small pieces – if you have a Butcher shop they’ll cut the small pieces for you
- 1 Egg
- 1 cup of Milk
- 1 Tablespoon of Sweet Relish
- 2 cups of Flour
- 1/2 cup of Powdered Sugar
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp garlic salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- Deep Fryer (or a frying pan and slotted spoon)
- Vegetable Oil
How to Make Chick-Fil-A Nuggets At Home
Cut the Chicken in small pieces, and salt to taste.
In a bowl, add the Egg, Milk, and Relish, and stir well.
In a Gallon size Zip Loc bag, add the Flour and Powdered Sugar, and seasonings.
Next, zip the bag, and shake to combine.
Turn on the Fryer (Make sure to fill the Oil in the Fryer according to the Manufacturers Directions – see instruction manual or fill you frying pan about 1/3 full with oil and heat over low-medium heat)
When oil is hot in fryer, dip the chicken in the Milk and Egg mixture, and drop the pieces into the bag of Flour.
Zip the bag, and shake gently to coat the chicken pieces. Drop the pieces onto the Utensil that came with the deep fryer, and lower the pieces in to the hot oil. (Use the slotted spoon instead if using a frying pan).
Fry for 8 minutes, and remove to paper towels to drain.
Repeat until all chicken is fried.
Serve with your favorite Chick-Fil-A Sauce. Enjoy!
Can These Be Made In The Air Fryer?
Yes! These can totally be made in the air fryer. However, I will say, the oil helps add flavor and tenderness to the nuggets. If you are still wanting to skip the oil, you can use the air fryer.
You’d want to cook at 400ºF for about 7 minutes or until the nuggets are cooked thoroughly (internal temperature reaches 165ºF).

NUTRITION
Nutrition information is a rough estimate only; actual values will vary based on the exact ingredients used and amount of recipe prepared.
Here’s a little tip for people trying to perfect a copycat chick-fil-a nugget recipe, it says that the nuggets are made with peanut oil! which don’t worry for all those allergic to peanuts (myself included) because peanut oil does not have the allergens that peanuts do, I should know, I love chick-fil-a nuggets. However, for those with extreme allergy (particle dust sort of level), I would still check with a medical professional.
