This Money Pizza is the perfect gift for any pizza lover. It is entirely made of money so when the celebration is over, the gift recipient has some dough they can spend on whatever they want.

Money Pizza Gift

Our oldest son graduated elementary school this year and we wanted to do something fun and simple as a way to get him excited for junior high.

That is when we landed on the Money Pizza Gift. He loves pizza and he loves money so it was a win-win.

The best part is, this money pizza is and so easy to make. We actually made it in less than 20 minutes and aside from the money, it was free to make!

Now, you might be wondering where we got the pizza box and I actually just went to my local Little Caesar’s and asked for one.

The employee I asked looked at me weird and said he had never had that request but after asking the manager, they said I could just have a box for free. It was given to me unassembled but it was really easy to assemble.

The last thing you want to do is use a greasy, used pizza box because it will get the money greasy too.

As far as the money goes, you can use any denomination you’d like. We went with $2 bills and used 25 of them making it $50 total but you can use $1’s, $5’s or any other type of bill you want.

You will likely want at least 20 bills if you are using a 10-inch cake board like we did.

This money pizza is the perfect way to give money for a graduation, birthday or any special occasion.

How To Make A Money Pizza

Supplies Needed:

  • Money – We used (25) $2 bills. We thought these looked really cool and they were crisp and easy to use. We just got them from our local credit union.
  • Transparent Scotch Tape – You will need a roll or two
  • Quarters or $1 Gold Coins – We used about 14 quarters
  • Red Paper Circles – We cut these out of cardstock and made them just a little bigger than the quarters in diameter. These were made to resemble the pepperoni of the pizza.
  • 10-inch Round Cardboard Cake Board – This made it so much easier to keep the money in a circular pattern but you can also tape directly to the pizza box.
  • Clean and Empty Pizza Box – We went to our local Little Caesar’s and just asked for one and it was free.
  • Small Saying To Attach To Box – This is optional but I made one for you that you can download, print and use for personal use here.

Directions:

Start by making a ton of small pieces of rolled tape. This make things go a lot faster.

Next, begin taping your money in a circular pattern on your cake board. You want it to have a fanned look (make sure all the bills are facing the same direction). It is okay if you need to overlap the bills especially towards the end.

Once your money is taped onto the cake board, it’s time to tape the red circles on top of the money. These are meant to resemble the pepperoni so add them randomly on top.

Next, tape the quarters on top of the red circles.

Finally, print or hand-write a saying to attach to the inside lid of the pizza box.

Stick the entire money pizza inside of the pizza box and give it to the person you are gifting it to.

Thank you for the very easy to follow directions. We absolutely loved the end product and now we can't wait to give to our grandson.
