While Easter is typically seen as a holiday for kids, nobody has ever made that a rule.

That’s why these Boozy Peep Shots are a must-have!

Not only are these easy to make, they are also delicious. The whipped vodka gives them a taste like a marshmallow Peep without it being too sweet. The topper is the Peep but you can throw it away or eat it depending on whether or not you actually like Peeps.

I used the basic jello shot recipe from my Easter Jello Shots and tweaked it a little bit to make this delicious boozy marshmallow treat.

How to Make Peeps Jello Shots:

Ingredients:

Directions:

Begin by placing the packets of unflavored gelatin into the hot water. Stir well and allow to bloom for 15 minutes.

While you’re waiting for the mixture to bloom, prepare your jello cups by placing them on a baking sheet to give them stability when moving to the fridge.

Once your gelatin mixture is ready, add in the cup of vodka and condensed milk and stir well.

Divide the mixture into 4 equal bowls and then add 2-3 drops of neon food coloring into each and stir.

When you are done, you should have 1 bowl of purple, 1 bowl of green, 1 bowl of blue and 1 bowl of pink.

Carefully fill each jello shot cup entirely.

Place into the refrigerator for a minimum of 2 hours.

Top with a Peeps Marshmallow.

Serve and Enjoy!

Things to Note:

  • You can use regular food coloring but if you want a more vibrant color, use neon gel food coloring.
  • You can make these about 24 hours ahead of time. While the peeps can be refrigerated, I would put the peeps on top right before serving to avoid them getting dry, hard or slimy.
  • You can also top with whipped cream or cool whip before placing the Peeps on top.
  • The perfect way to fill your jello cups is by using a turkey baster (it’s less messy, trust me!)
  • This peeps jell-o shots recipes makes about 10 if you’re using the larger cups with lids like I did. You can certainly double or triple the recipe as needed.
  • Use a paper towel to clean up any spilled gelatin mixture around the jello shots before putting into the fridge or it will stick to the cups.
