These Grinch Donuts will make the cutest dessert to serve up for Christmas. These are made with a green donut covered in green frosting and topped with heart sprinkles.
Grinch Donuts
The Grinch is by far one of my favorite Christmas movies. Definitely in my top 5.
With that being said, we watch Jim Carey’s version of The Grinch every single year and to go along with the movie, we always create a fun new Grinch themed treat to enjoy while we watch the movie.
We’ve made everything from Grinch Ice Cream to Grinch Jello Shots (for mom and dad of course). And now we are adding Grinch Donuts into the mix.
So, if you enjoy Grinch desserts, this one is for you!
What You Need to Make Grinch Donuts
For The Donuts:
- 2 Eggs
- 4 Tablespoons of Butter – softened
- 2/3 cup of Sugar
- 2 cups of Flour
- 2 Tablespoons of Baking Powder
- 1 cup of Vanilla Coffee Mate Coffee Creamer
- 12 drops of Lime Green Food Coloring Gel
- Red candy hearts
- 1 Silicone Donut Pan
For The Frosting:
- 2 cups of Powdered Sugar
- 4 Tablespoons of Vanilla Coffee Creamer
- Lime Green Food Coloring Gel
How to Make Grinch Donuts
In a large bowl, combine the Eggs, Butter, and Sugar, and mix until light and fluffy.
In a separate bowl, combine the Flour, and Baking Powder, and mix well.
Add the flour mixture to the Egg mixture, and stir.
Add the Coffee Creamer to the batter, and stir altogether, until well mixed. Batter will be a little lumpy, but that’s okay.
Ladle the batter into the Silicone molds, and Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
Remove from the oven, and let cool for a few minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool.
Now it’s time to make the frosting. Start by mixing the Powdered Sugar and the Coffee Creamer until smooth and creamy.
Add several drops of the Lime Green Food Coloring Gel, until desired color is achieved.
Dip cooled Donuts in frosting, add Red candy hearts, and sprinkles.
Serve and Enjoy!
