My family and I are huge Pokemon fans and one of favorites is Pikachu – he is just adorable. And the way he says “Pika Pika” is so cute.

That adorable electric type Pokemon is exactly what inspired us to make these fun Pokemon treats.

So, if you are looking for a unique treat to serve up on Easter, give these Pikachu marshmallows a try! They require just 2-ingredients and are so easy to make!

And if you’re a huge Pokemon fan too, try these Pokemon Poke Ball Hot Chocolate Bombs or these Pokemon Poke Ball Jello Shots. We also have a ton of fun Pokemon Party Ideas too!

Helpful Tips:

  • Not all edible markers are created equal. A couple of the cheaper brands I tried did not write well. So, be sure it’s a good quality edible marker, like the ones I used and linked to.
  • Be very gentle and don’t press overly hard when drawing on the Peeps or you will disfigure them. They’re very soft, so it doesn’t take much pressure to draw on them.
  • You may have to draw over a spot a couple of times to really get it filled in. This is normal with edible markers, but with a good brand, it should turn out great.
  • Since Peeps are pretty cheap, I bought extra to practice on and to have fun with. This was my favorite design out of all of them.
  • You don’t have to remove the eyes and nose if you don’t want to. You can just add the ear tips, mouth, and cheeks, if you like. I just found them to look much nicer with the eyes and nose removed and drawn on.

How to Make Pikachu Peeps

These Pikachu Peeps couldn’t be any easier to make. They require just a few minutes of your time.

STEP 1: First, start by opening your PEEPS packages. Don’t throw away the excess yellow sugar in the bottom of the Peeps package. Save that for later.

STEP 2: Using tweezers, gently remove the three chocolate dots on each Peep (the eyes and nose).

STEP 3: Sprinkle the excess yellow sugar from the Peeps container, over the top of the white spots left behind after removing the eyes and nose. Pat it down and then turn them upside down and shake the excess sugar free.

STEP 4: Using a black edible marker, make two small black eyes, not far below the ears, and then a smaller black dot right below, and in the middle of the eyes. Be gentle when drawing or you will smash the Peeps

STEP 5: Make the mouth like an upside-down black bird, also using the black marker. Color in the tips of the ears using the black as well.

STEP 6: Use the red edible marker to make two red dots for the cheeks.

STEP 7: That’s it! Store and consume as usual!

I've seen so many people do this and, as a HUGE Pokemon fan, I'll never *not* love it! If we had Peeps here in Australia (oh, what I'd do to be able to try them!), I'd totally decorate the yellow ones to look like Pikachu too 🙌 They're just too cute!
